Nevermind, I just found the solution! 😀

Spotify Iphone App Search Function Not Working
  1. Force Close Spotify and Re-Open It. Force closing the app and relaunching it eliminates several.
  2. Your iPhone doesn't store all of the email for any given account locally in the native mail app. So when you do a search, it goes and searches the mail server. Mail servers vary in their response, both in time and in format, and connectivity to the server will vary as well.
  3. After the latest update of Spotify (1-2 weeks ago) the search function only works from time to time. Works on iPhone but not on laptop with Win 7.

If you want to concentrate with the help of your favorite tunes, it can be quite the pain if your Spotify web player is not working. But as usual we are here to help you. Uninstalled / reinstalled Spotify app-Tuned iPhone off then on-Recently I had to wipe my iPhone completely & start fresh due to hardware issues. Didn't restore from backup, started new. From the get-go, Spotify's Seach function isn't working at all.

You don't need to 'Reset All Settings' to fix this issue -- it makes restoring Settings from backups kinda pointless, don't you think?

Here's how I solved my Settings Search problem:

  1. Go to Settings: General: Language
  2. Change your Language to English (UK)
  3. Force close the Settings app
  4. Go to Settings: General: Language again
  5. Change your Language back to English (US). Enjoy your Settings Search fully functional again! 🙂

Go wireless and play Spotify on Bluetooth supported devices such as speakers, headphones, and even your car.

You’ll need:

  • The Spotify app on a Bluetooth supported phone, tablet, or computer.
  • A Bluetooth supported audio device (such as a speaker, car, watch, headphones, etc).

Get started

Note: It's best to close Spotify while establishing a connection.

  1. On both devices, switch Bluetooth on.
  2. Pair the devices. Check your device’s user guide for step-by-step instructions.
  3. Open Spotify and play. The sound now comes from your chosen device.

If your Bluetooth connection isn’t working, make sure:

  • The devices are in range. We recommend they're within 1 meter (3ft) of each other.
  • Both devices have sufficient power.
  • You’re connected to the right device. You might need to disconnect any other devices.
  • You haven’t reached the maximum number of devices you can pair at any one time.
  • The connection allows media sharing. Look for this option in the Bluetooth settings of your phone, tablet, or computer.
  • You may need to select the device you’re pairing to as the default for your phone, tablet, or computer. Look for this option in the Bluetooth settings.

Still not working?

Try re-pairing your devices:

  4. Re-establish the connection. Check your device's user guide for specific steps.
