To do that, all you need is the Spotify app and a Chromecast or Chromecast Audio device hooked up to your TV or speaker. Besides, you need to be a premium subscriber to play music through your Chromecast Audio. Method 1: Cast Spotify music to Chromecast or Chromecast Audio with Premium account

Step 1. Make sure your Chromecast/Chromecast Audio is set up using the Google Home app on your phone or tablet.

Step 2. Insert your Chromecast into the HDMI port of your TV or insert your Chromecast Audio into a speaker’s 3.5mm or optical input port.

Step 3. Open Spotify on your phone, tablet, or the web player. Make sure it's connected to the same WiFi as your Chromecast/Chromecast Audio.
Note: Chromecast is only compatible on the web player with the Chrome browser.

Step 4. Play some music.
Step 5. Tap the Now Playing bar at the bottom of the screen and select Devices Available.

Step 6. Select your Chromecast/Chromecast Audio from the devices listed.

Method 2: Stream Spotify music on Chromecast Audio without Premium

If you are Spotify free user but want to stream Spotify music to Chromecast Audio, you can download Spotify music and then upload them to Google Play music. You may ask: how can I download Spotify music with a free account? Go to Google Play Music (play.google.com/music) using Chrome. Click the song, and click Play. At the bottom of the screen next to the playback controls, click the Cast button . Under 'Cast to,' select your Chromecast from the device list.
