I know this doesn't really answer your question, but in case this isn't possible for some reason, there is a Chrome/Chromium extension called Spotify Playback Speed Access that allows you to change the speed of songs on the Spotify Web Player. Get your release into Spotify for Artists early! This is a big one, guys. It means uploading to TuneCore at least 3-4 weeks in advance (longer if you can). The longer your pitch sits in the S4A. A feature that allows the pitch and tempo of a song to be changed would be awesome! As a musician, it would be so useful to listen and play along to songs in a different key and at a different speed.
